Jobs - - September 09, 2011Klarna have continuously been growing at a very fast rate since the start in 2005 and is today the Nordic market leader within the e-commerce business. During these 6 years we have gone from three founders to over 500 employees. At the R&D department we are about 100 technicians, and this is only the beginning of our journey of building the best R&D department in the world. We are therefore always keeping an eye out for talented and highly motivated developers who are passionate about creating game changing products within online payments.
At Klarna we process transactions from millions of users, serve more than 10.000 merchants, and handle hundreds of millions of Euros. Our system is mainly written in Erlang and it is excellent if you have experience in Erlang or other functional languages, but it is not a requirement for joining us. Great developers are great regardless of programming language and we expect you to be a top-notch developer and a fast learner. At Klarna you will have the opportunity to take on challenges in areas ranging from risk analysis, process optimization to large-scale web development.
We believe in empowering our developers. Our R&D department is divided in multiple small start-ups. As a member of one of these start-ups you will be involved in the complete product development cycle - from concept to execution. We are a fast paced organization with a strong commitment to quality and agile methodologies.
As a Senior Developer, we expect you to be able to handle systems having high demands on performance and scalability. Experience from banking systems or other transaction intensive systems is a plus.
There is a lot of energy at Klarna and a willingness to create something great.
